Jharkhand collects Rs 41K crore revenue in FY 15: Amit Khare


    Ranchi, Nov. 24: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare today said that as per the financial account prepared by the Jharkhand AG, revenue collection status in Jharkhand is surplus in financial year 2015-16. In 2014-15, the revenue deficit was Rs 230.34 crore whereas in 2015-16, revenue surplus mounted to Rs 4085.53 crore which is 1.80 per cent of the total GSDP.

    Khare said that as per the report, Rs 40,638.36 crore has been collected which is Rs 9073.80 crore more than the last year collection (which is 28.75 per cent more). In the financial year 2014-15, Rs 40,041.50 crore was spent whereas in 2015-16, Rs 54,437.27 crore was spent. Rs 5,553.37 crore loan taken under UDAY scheme is included in the total collection of Rs 13,767.85 crore.

    The Development Commissioner said that in the Financial Year 2015-16, Rs 31,287.07 crore has been spent under planning expenditure which is 69.91 per cent more than planning expenditure of 2014-15 planning expenditure. Without UDAY scheme also, the increment rate is 37.28 per cent.

    He said that in 2015-16, the Capital Expenditure was Rs 15,494.05 crore which is more than double of 2014-15 Capital Planning Expenditure of Rs 6,309.46 crore rupees. The fiscal deficit also decreased from 3.32 per cent of the GDP in 2014-15 to 2.64 per cent in 2015-16 (except UDAY scheme).

    As per the directive of Government of India, the loan taken for UDAY scheme of Energy Department should not been included in fiscal deficit.
