Jharkhand CM inaugurates 4 textile units, opens employment doors for 2000

95 % of employees are locals, 80 per cent are women 

Ranchi, December 6: Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the industrial units of four textile industry companies Kishore Exports, The West Band, Shree Ganpati Creation and Valencia Apparel based in Kulhi area of  Ormanjhi block in Ranchi on Monday. 

“With situation returning to normalcy after being affected by Covid pandemic for two years our government is making constant efforts to expedite developmental activities. Today, two thousand people are being linked with employment from one platform here. This is an example of the preparations made during the transition period. It was the priority of the state government that as soon as the lockdown is over, a better framework should be made in place to connect more and more people with employment. The scope of other employment-oriented activities including textile policy is being expanded in the state, said Soren while addressing the inauguration of four textile industry unit and distribution of appointment letters at Ormanjhi.

“Due to lack of proper platform, young men and women from here used to wander towards other states in search of employment. The government is determined to use the talent of the youth of the state and connect them with employment and give respect to their skills. The Chief Minister said that it is the policy of the State Government to ensure that 75 per cent of the manpower in various industrial institutions working in Jharkhand should be from the State.  Work is being done to revive the activities related to industry in the state. It is the priority of our government that maximum investment should be made in Jharkhand under the cooperation of the people and better policies of the state government,” said Soren. 

The Chief Minister said that it was heartening to know that with the inauguration of four textile companies, more than 2,000 people working in the textile sector are getting appointment letters. 
95 per cent of the employed people are from Jharkhand, out of which 80 per cent are women. The Chief Minister said that women would be strong in the family, only then the coming generation would also be empowered. 

“The Government is moving ahead with a better action plan for women empowerment. In the coming days, the result of these action plans will definitely be seen among all of us,” added Soren. 

On this occasion, Industries Secretary,  Pooja Singhal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister the Industries Department is continuously focusing on employment-oriented schemes. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, efforts are being made to bring such industries on the ground in which maximum number of people can get employment.  Women who received appointment letters also include women who were working in states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala before the lockdown, the state government had assured them of employment in their villages or districts. He said that under the better textile policy, in the coming 6 months, 10,000 people working in the textile sector will get employment, all preparations have been made for it.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, symbolically distributed appointment letters among many girls. The Chief Minister also took a tour of Kishore Exports Unit and got information related to production from the workers working there.

Chief minister also laid the foundation stone of Kulhi road online.
