Schemes including rice mill worth Rs 180 crore lakh inaugurated at Godda

Ranchi, June 29: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday stressed on government benefits reaching to the last mile at program where he distributed appointment letters, laid foundation stones and inaugurated different schemes and distributed assets to beneficiaries at Godda.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched Suposhit Godda scheme run by the government by releasing a booklet related to the program. Under this scheme, various programs will be run for the children of Godda district to get rid of malnutrition.

“The government has resolved to take the schemes of the government to the people living in remote and inaccessible places through the Aapke Dwar program. The government is going door-to-door to take the schemes of public interest to the people. All the people above 60 years of age are now being benefitted from the old age pension. Government is providing loan amount ranging from 50 thousand to 25 lakh to the youth at very low interest to make them self-employed.

The Chief Minister said that under the Phoolo-Jhan Ashirwad Yojana, small businesses such as tea shops, hotels etc. are being opened by helping those women who used to sell liquor and life of embarrassment.

Hemant Soren who also inaugurated a rice mill at Godda said that this year the State Government has done the work of purchasing paddy in large quantity this time. The government is working to open rice mills in the state to expedite the process of purchasing and re-distributing paddy. The government is providing land at the lowest rate for setting up a rice mill. Along with this, full assistance is also being provided by the government for opening of rice mills.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated 79 schemes worth Rs. 18001.17 lakh (amount in lakh) and laid the foundation stone of 10 important schemes costing Rs. 12598.28 lakh (amount in lakh). In the program, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters related to various departments to 170 people. Under other schemes including Social Security Pension Scheme, Sona Sobran Yojana, Ration Card Distribution, Chief Minister Kanyadan, Chief Minister Employment Generation, Phulo-Jhanon Ashirwad Yojana, assets worth Rs 1767.10 lakh were also distributed among 2573 beneficiaries.

In the program, Tanu Kumari of Godda, who has brought laurels to the Santhal Pargana in the entire state by securing 97 percent in the board exam, was felicitated by the Chief Minister who announced that students who stood first in the state would be given prize money of three lakh rupees, second place two lakh and third place one lakh.
