Jharkhand chamber appeals traders to support water sources cleanliness drive

Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Water sources cleanliness drive under the banner of Yugantar Bharati kicked off all over the state on Sunday, December 13 with programs in Ranchi and other locations of Jharkhand.

A conference was held at the organization�s Ranchi office where speakers said, the availability of pure and clean water is a major challenge. If strong steps are not taken to make the water sources pollution and encroachment free, people will have to face difficulty in getting access to drinking water.

Mainly present at the conference Anand Kumar, Kamlesh Ojha, Harendra Singh, Vipin Kumar, Alok Singh, Dhirendra Mishra, Ajay Giri, Ashish Sheetal and others deliberated their thoughts. On the other hand, Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce held a meeting and appealed the traders to be part of the campaign.

On the occasion, Vinay Agarwal, general secretary of Chamber said, the awareness regarding the water is very necessary to fight water pollution and scarcity. Pavan Agarwal, Chamber president said, Chadva Dam in Hazaribagh has dried up and water supply is stalled.

Rationing of water is being done at Ranchi, Chatra, Latehar and Dhanbad where water sources cleanliness drive would surely help.

The campaign at Chandva started with conference on water awareness and painting competition. The program also started at Chaibasa, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Ramgarh, Godda, Pakud, Garwa, Deoghar, Bokaro, Dhanbad and other district of the state.
