Chaibasa, March 20: A team of Jharkhand Assembly Committee led by its chairman MLA Pradeep Yadav arrived in Chaibasa on Monday.
In his speech the Chairman of the committee said that the affected villagers of ACC company Jhinkpani and public representatives lodged a complaint with the Jharkhand Assembly Committee against the public hearing for environmental clearance to the company held on August 28, 2016 which was organized by the ACC company Jhinkpani.
MLA Yadav further said that there was massive protest raised by the villagers, even though the environmental clearance was recommended. In the awake of their complaint, the committee visited the affected villages and took their opinions.
The Committee also enquired from DC, ADC and the authorities of ACC company in this regard. The Chairman said that the report would be submitted to the state government and necessary action will start in process further. The team comprises of MLA Nagendra Mahto, MLA Deepak Birua.
