Jamshedpur, June 4: A team of six specialized medics led by eminent surgeon Dr Nagendra Singh conducted a health checkup camp organized by Ganga Memorial Hospital at Rangamatia village in Dumaria Block on Sunday. Checkup of 226 people were conducted at the camp out of whom 27 were selected for surgery. The 27 selected for surgery were diagnosed with appendix, hernia, gall bladder and stones in the sac and uterus. These patients will be operated free of cost.
Dr Nagendra Singh said at the camp that this venture was organized with the Sabar tribe in mind. He said, “The Sabars are often deprived when it comes to treatment of serious ailments including those requiring surgery. We have vowed to reach out free treatment to every sick person in the poor among the Sabar community.”
It may be mentioned here that Dr Nagendra Singh has so far performed more than 25 thousand free surgeries and is known as the ‘messiah of the poor.’ The doctors of Dumaria Health Center too joined shoulders at the camp. The camp organized by Ganga Memorial Hospital and led by Dr Nagendra Singh included Doctor Tarak, Dr Dev, Dr Pallavi, Dr Ishan, Dr Devki and Dr Kalyan.
