Gamharia, March 12: Two youths allegedly assaulted one Chandal Mandal near Bada Gamharia Station Road under Adityapur police station area on Sunday. The victim was taken to MGM Hospital where his condition is reportedly critical.
According to sources, Chandan had some dispute with the accused persons. He was beaten up with canes and the butt of a pistol. Local residents rescued him and took him to the hospital, sources said. Adityapur police have registered a case against the accused persons, identified as Vishal Gorai and Pankaj Gorai. The two have also accused Chandan of snatching valuables from them. Police are verifying the allegations from both sides, sources said.
