Jamshedpur, April 6: One Chintu Lal Bhagat was assaulted by a group of youths near Kadma Shiv Hanuman temple late Tuesday night. He was critically injured in the incident and was taken to Tata Main Hospital where his condition was reportedly touch-and-go.
Sources said the accused persons assaulted Bhagat with a sharp weapon following a dispute with him. The victim was eating out with the accused persons near the temple in his locality around 11.30 pm. Around 2 am, the accused persons fell out with Bhagat on some issue and together attacked him.
Bhagat was admitted to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of TMH with critical injuries. Cops are searching for the CCTV footage of the incident as a CCTV camera was found near the crime scene.
