Jamshedpur temple committee to organise mass wedding on Nov 25

Jamshedpur, Nov 23: A mass wedding will be organized by Bhalubasa situated Shri Bajrang Vijay Mandir (Jambu Akhara) committee in the temple premises on November 25.

Five couples have been selected for the wedding. The rituals will begin at 11 am and will continue till the Vidai ceremony of the bride in the evening, said Bunty Singh of the committee.  

Addressing a press meet at the temple office on Wednesday, Singh informed that well-versed priest would conduct the marriage according to Hindu rituals.

“15 relatives each from bride and groom’s side will be part of the ceremony. Administrative officers of the district, dignitaries from social and political field have been invited to attend the mass wedding,” Bunty added.

Also present at the press meet were Bunty, Kakoli Mukherjee, Vijay Kumar Singh, Aarti Mukhi, Sanjay Hazari, Madhusudan Goswami, Sourav Nandi and Ranveer Mandal.

Bunty further said that bride and groom will be provided essentials along with clothes, jewelry etc.

Their marriage will be registered. Couple who will be part of the mass wedding are Sajal Kumar Chaudhary with Roshni Kumar, Majnu Nag with Lakshmi Munda, Sangeeta Kumari with Deepak Das, Mamta Godsera with Rohan Godse, Kiran Tanti with Rahul Dev. All the grooms are from Jamshedpur while two brides are from Ranchi and three from the city.
