Jamshedpur: A comprehensive review meeting of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) and the Welfare Department was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal at the DC Auditorium. The meeting, attended by Project Director ITDA Dipankar Choudhary, District Welfare Officer Shankaracharya Samad, and other key officials, focused on evaluating the progress of various welfare schemes and ensuring their timely implementation.
The meeting reviewed several ongoing schemes, including pre-matric and post-matric scholarships, Birsa Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, and bicycle distribution. District Magistrate Mittal emphasized the importance of prompt execution and directed officials to ensure beneficiaries receive timely support.
Pre-Matric Scholarships: Out of 111,495 students registered on the e-Kalyan portal for the financial year 2024-25, 78,136 have received payments. The remaining 33,359 verified students were prioritized for immediate disbursement.
Post-Matric Scholarships: Among 119 registered institutions, 7,921 students studying within the state and 218 students studying out-of-state have registered for scholarships. Verification and payment for eligible students were expedited.
Under this scheme, 3,711 bicycles have been distributed against a target of 15,044. All blocks were directed to expedite the distribution process in coordination with MPs, MLAs, and local representatives.
From 2020-21 to 2023-24, 349 housing units have been completed out of an approved 371. The remaining 22 units are expected to be finished soon, with pending installment payments to beneficiaries to be cleared without delay.
Under the Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, livestock distribution for 463 approved beneficiaries has been initiated, with escrow accounts opened for 293 beneficiaries. Officials were directed to ensure all remaining beneficiaries are included and livestock distribution is completed promptly.
All blocks were instructed to assess the need for new Kalyan hostels and submit proposals accordingly. Progress in cemetery fencing, conservation of tribal sites such as Sarna/Masna/Jahersthan/Hargadi, and construction of cultural centers like Manjhi Bhavan and Manki Munda Bhavan were also reviewed.
The Chief Minister’s Rozgar Srijan Yojana was emphasized to promote self-employment among youth. Tribal cultural preservation, health schemes, and other welfare initiatives were discussed in detail, with instructions for effective implementation.
