Jamshedpur, Dec 5: MLA of Jamshedpur East, Saryu Roy, has written to the Senior Superintendent of Police of the East Singhbhum district to draw his attention to a case registered against Abhay Tiwari alias Appu Tiwari, one of the persons who is involved in the Sakchi Hanuman Temple dispute.
Roy has sent a copy of the 10-page judgement that was delivered in the case and has offered to submit the original document which he claims was given to him by a Good Samaritan. Roy has also told the city’s top cop that the certified document containing the judgement that was taken from the concerned court on July 15, 2022, and had been given to the Director General of Police (DGP) in Ranchi. “Suitable action is still awaited in this case,” he said.
The MLA has also alleged that the Good Samaritan has informed him that the supportive documents concerning the case have gone missing from concerned police stations in Golmuri and Burmamines. He has also informed that a case had also been filed against the criminal activities of the accused, Tiwari, in Khunti. Roy has expressed apprehension that in that case too, the documents from the concerned court and police station might have already been “misplaced”.
He has asked the SSP to verify the documents and the allegations and take suitable action against the accused.
‘This is an attempt to silence me’
Appu Tiwari, who is a spokesman of the Ajsu party, has alleged that the accusations that have been made against him are attempts to silence him. He said: “All the cases against me are subjudice and I respect the court’s judgement. I am also ready for any kind of investigation and I am prepared to cooperate with the investigators.”
