Jamshedpur reports 4 new Covid cases, positivity down to 0.10 %


Jamshedpur, July 13: The positive case count in Jamshedpur has been reduced to single digit again. Jamshedpur reported four positive cases on Tuesday while zero death was recorded. 

The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51701.

10 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday taking the total recovery to 50583 while total active cases in Jamshedpur have come down to 64.

Of the 64 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

Of the 4 new cases, 3 are from Kadma and 1 from Sakchi.

As many as 10 people recovered from the virus on Tuesday taking the overall recoveries to 50583 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.85%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 425365 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.85% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 4 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Tuesday remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.10% on Tuesday.

More than 3900 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.10%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.10 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 3900 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 3947 samples, of which, 4 turned out positive while 10 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.10 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1149833 samples have been collected out of which 1132321 have been tested and 1080620 have turned out to be negative.
