Jamshedpur Purva Sainiks observe Sam Manekshaw’s death anniversary

Jamshedpur, June 27: Akhil Bhartiya Purva Sainik Parishad, Jamshdepur on Monday observed the 14th death anniversary of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Manekshaw at Baridih on June 27.

Awadhesh Kumar and Sergeant Naval Kishore Pathak while narrating the tales of valor of Sam Manekshaw said he was the first Indian army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and took over as Chief of Army Staff on January 8, 1969.

They said that Manekshaw was a man with unflinching moral courage and exemplary leadership qualities, his life would always remain a source of inspiration to the armed forces and the Nation.

Purva Sainiks during a meeting decided to celebrate Kargil Diwas with fervour. 

Also present were Vinay Yadav, Varun Kumar, Avadhesh Kumar, Jasveer Singh, Amar Nath Dhoke, Jaiswal, Kundan Singh, DN Singh and others.
