Jamshedpur, Nov 23: The New Education Policy 2020 is in consonance with the traditional values of the ancient Indian system of teaching also known as ‘Gyan Parampara’. This was observed on Wednesday by Shankaranand, joint organization secretary of Bhratiya Shikshan Mandal. He was speaking during Vir Birsa Munda lecture series organized at Jamshedpur Women’s University (JWU).
Shankaranand, addressing the programme as the chief guest and keynote speaker, said the New Education Policy had incorporated the core Indian educational and cultural values in itself with the purpose to present the country as the strongest contender before other powerful nations of the world on the basis of its intellectual strength. The policy is a reflection of Indian philosophy and cannot be replaced by a better version in near future, he said.
Also present on the occasion was the joint general secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Om Prakash Singh. He threw light on the objectives and other salient features of the Education Policy.
