Jamshedpur, Feb 28: Residents of Jamshedpur will not have to go to far-off destinations for a jungle tour. Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL have prepared ‘Jamshedpur Nature Trail’ in the heart of the city. The unique gift would be dedicated to the people of the city on the occasion of 184th Founder’s Day.
Talking about the Jamshedpur Nature Trail, Tata Steel Vice President (Corporate Services) Chanakya Chaudhary had informed that it is spread over 17 acres from Circuit House area to Marine Drive. “It took three years to complete the work but it will be a good add-on to the green cover of the city,” added Chaudhary.

There are more than 19,000 trees in the Nature Trail which is 2.5 km long. The Trail has a camping area spanning 2500 square metre and a walking track with 3.5 km long and 2 metre wide dimensions. It starts from Marine Drive and ends behind the petrol pump in Circuit House Area. People will be able to spend time with Nature. The trail is made with natural bricks. The work on its development began on 2020 and it took almost three years to get completed. Till 2022, slag was dumped at this site. Dumping was stopped thereafter, sources said.

The Nature Trail is divided into three sectors. One sector is densely wooded while another one has foundation and water fall. The third sector has fruit-bearing trees and other facilities. All trees here bear QR code to inform visitors about their salient features. Security cameras have been installed all over the area. Here visitors will get to see natural flow of water and wetland. Other features and amenities in the park include street lights, benches and resting places, public toilets and an FRP bridge over the rivulet from CH area side to the Marine drive side, sources said.
Wonderful. I must say great achievement.
