Jamshedpur, Nov 28: ASI Dharmendra Singh, who is lodged in jail in connection with the murder of Varsha Patel, a resident of South Park of Bistupur police station area, took about two lakhs from her. The deceased’s sister has alleged that the ASI took undue advantage from her.

Varsha Patel’s sister Jaya Patel has lodged another complaint against him in Telco police station and has given key information related to the murder. She informed the police that from sister Varsha Patel, the ASI had sought the help of two lakh rupees to help in her sister’s marriage. Somehow her sister and relatives gave one lakh 64 thousand rupees to ASI. On November 24, the ASI had promised to return the money.

Varsha Patel was strangled to death by the ASI on November 12 in the Telco Quarter. To hide the evidence of murder, the dead body was thrown in a plastic sack and thrown in Telco Tarkampani pond. After this, on November 13, after taking leave, he went to Ara’s ancestral house in Bihar. The police had taken him into custody and reached Jamshedpur. After this the murder was revealed.

Dharmendra Kumar had hidden several facts and tried to mislead the police in the murder case. Police must investigate the matter properly. Jaya Patel said that when the sister did not return after November 12, the ASI was called several times. He remained ignorant. He kept refusing to even comment on the disappearance of his sister. ASI betrayed and brutally murdered her sister.
