Jamshedpur, Jan 6: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato today raised the issue of resumption of Tata-Alleppey Superfast Express at the earliest in a telephonic meeting with railway board chairman Suneet Sharma on Wednesday.
The MP questioned that if Ranchi- Alleppey Express can be resumed then there should not be any problem in resumption of services of Tata-Alleppey Superfast Express as it was the only link between masses of this region to Tamil Nadu. The chairman assured the MP of taking up the matter at the right forum soon.
The MP also requested the railway board chairman to start all the prominent trains passing through Tatanagar Station and also starting of a new train services between Tatanagar and Buxar (in Bihar) and the chairman sought list of all such prominent trains whose services they want to be resumed so that decision can be taken on this issue at the right forum.
The railway chairman also assured the MP that he would be meeting Bidyut Mahato during the budget session of the Parliament to find out a solution on the demands of new trains.
