Tata-Badampahar rail line fully electrified

Jamshedpur, April 20: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi jointly flagged off Tata-Badampahar electric multiple unit (EMU) local train at Tatanagar railway station on Wednesday.
Many senior railway officials including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) were present on the occasion. Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur Division, Vijay Kumar Sahu, participated in the event through video conferencing.
In his address, the MP said the Tatanagar-Badampahar rail line had been fully electrified, courtesy steps taken towards modernization of the railways by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Ministry. He also thanked the Tatanagar railway station management for providing amenities to passengers. He said the Tatanagar-Badampahar rail line was the oldest as trains are plying on this route since 1911. He commended the efforts put in by the Railways towards complete electrification of the rail line to save diesel. He said he would soon request the Railway Ministry to convert Tata-Badampahar rail line to double line so that Bhubneshwar in Odisha also gets connected to Tatanagar through it.
The Jugsalai MLA also thanked the Railways for starting the EMU. He pointed out the issue of repair of the main road in the Tatanagar railway area. He said the state government had issued funds but the Railway department is yet to give NOC for the repair work. He demanded repair of the main road from Garib Nawaz Colony of Jugsalai to Parvati Ghat at the earliest.
