Jamshedpur: MP Bidyut Baran Mahto meets CS on Dhalbhumgarh Airport

Jamshedpur, Oct 8: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto met chief secretary  Sukhdev Singh in Ranchi today and discussed on Dhalbhumgarh Airport among other issues in his Lok Sabha constituency. 


Mahato reminded the Chief Secretary about the Dhalbhumgarh airport and said that there are hardly 2500-3000 trees there. Whereas misleading information has been provided to him by the Forest Department in this regard. He also said that the officials of the Airport Authority of India said that the number of trees available at this airport is necessary.  Due to this, the beauty of the airport will increase a lot. He also said that the Dhalbhumgarh airport has been selected by the central government under the UDAN scheme. Under this scheme, Darbhanga airport was started, today there are about 11 flights flying from 3 flights per day.

The area of present Dhalbhumgarh airport is bigger than that of Ranchi. He also told that in such a long period, he has never heard of elephants coming to that area. Expressing his anger, he said that the only work left for some officers of the forest department is to inform the public representatives including senior officials and create confusion. 

Jamshedpur MP urged the chief secretary to personally inspect the site of Dhalbhumgarh Airport and assess all the things himself. 

The MP also discussed with Chief Secretary about the elevated corridor of Govindpur and said that it is very important in the public interest to make a revised estimate or start the work.


Member of Parliament Shri Mahto also discussed about the irrigation scheme through pipe in Patmada and he said that he has sent a proposal in this regard from the Ministry of Jal Shakti to the government, in this regard it is necessary to be approved by the state government. 


The MP also discussed about HCL and operate all the mines of HCL including Surda, Rakha, Chapdi, Kendadih. While handing over a list of seven important roads of rural areas of East Singhbhum to the Chief Secretary, Jamshedpur MP said that they should be constructed under the Central Road Fund (CRF), in which the entire amount is provided by the Central Government for the construction of the road.

 Regarding all these schemes, MP Shri Mahto also told the Chief Secretary that if necessary, he will also meet the Chief Minister of the state and apprise him about all the matters so that the pace of development does not slow down and in the public interest, employment is created.
