Jamshedpur, Dec 23: Members of Jharkhand Mazdoor Union (JMU) blocked the gate of Steel Strips Wheels Company (SSWC) at Govindpur to protest the alleged sacking of 15 workers here on Friday. They demanded reinstatement of the workers and refused to buzz without written assurance from the company management. After three hours of protest, a meeting of company’s HR department representative Deepak Kumar, JMU leaders and the sacked workers was held. The company management reportedly assured to take back the sacked workers and pay them compensation. Two of the workers were kept on work from today itself, said Rajesh Samant, central secretary of JMU.
