Jamshedpur heaves sigh of relief as daily Covid positive case drop to 1


Jamshedpur, July 22: The daily positive case count in Jamshedpur remained in single digit on Thursday.  

Jamshedpur reported 1 positive case on Thursday while zero death was recorded. 1 case was reported from Baharagora.

The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51750.

8 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 50662 while total active cases in Jamshedpur is 34.

Of the 34 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

As many as 8 people recovered from the virus on Thursday taking the overall recoveries to 50662 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.90%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 444659 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.90% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 1 new Covid-19 case, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Thursday, remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.01% on Thursday.

More than 7900 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.01%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.01 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 7900 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 7907 samples, of which, 1 turned out positive while 8 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.01 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1195827 samples have been collected out of which 1183681 have been tested and 1131931 have turned out to be negative.
