Jamshedpur: Gulmohur High School hosts CISCE Yoga Championship

Tiyasha wins two gold medals, best yogasana player

Jamshedpur, Aug 18: Gulmohur High School, Telco hosted the CISCE Bihar and Jharkhand Yoga Championship on Wednesday.

Suman Palit was declared the winner in U-19 boys’ category of the Athletic event.

Aditya Kumar won the Artistic event and Raj Kumar Singh bagged the top prize in the Rhythmic event of this category.

Anusara Pani was the winner in the Athletic and Artistic event in the girls under 19 category.

The winner in the under 14 boys athletic event was Sushmit Dasgupta and Shreemayi Shyamal won in this category for girls.

Priyanshu Bhowal won the Athletic event and Sameer Malto in the Rhythmic event for under 17 boys.

The winner among the girls was Tiyasha Pangiyara.

Gulmohur High School student Tiyasha Panigiyara won two Gold Medals and she also bagged the trophy for the best Yogasana Player in the Under-17 Girls Category. She will be representing Gulmohur High School at the CISCE National Yoga Championship.

The Jamshedpur zone achieved the highest points in all the categories followed by the Ranchi zone.

Students selected will represent Jharkhand state in the CISCE National Yoga Championship to be held at Ranchi next month.

Earlier, Principal Priti Sinha and Vice Principal Archana Srivastava inaugurated the championship which witnessed the participation of 110 students from the ICSE schools of Patna, Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

Jivraj Sandhu, General Manager, Engineering Research Centre, Tata Motors was present as the chief guest.
