Jamshedpur, April 5 : In a gruesome incident, a five-year-old girl was murdered at a vacant residential quarter near Das Colony under Burmamines police station area late last night. The victim was wrapped under a plastic sack, the body was lying in a pool of blood.
There was a mark of deep cut in the neck and her head was bludgeoned with a bolder.
The murder victim,Naina, who was daughter of Bablu Das, a resident of Das Colony, had gone missing since 3 pm on Wednesday, but on searching by family members she was found murdered at a vacant quarters adjoining the Das Colony by 11pm.
OC, Burmamines police station, Jagdev Singh confirmed it to be a case of murder. “We cannot speak more about it but we are trying to detect the case,” said Jagdev Singh.
Police however, said they did not get any sign of rape on the minor’s body, but still they have sent the body to the MGM Medical College mortuary today for a post-mortem.
The murder victim was the youngest among the five children of Bablu Das who used to work of ear-cleaning by moving around. The victim would read at a nursery run by Aganbari in Burmamines.
Naina had gone out of her house at about 3.30 pm and was found murdered at the vacant residential quarters at about 11 pm. The police as well as the murder victim’s parents are in a dark behind the gruesome murder of this little girl.
“We are in state of shock and don�t know who are involved in the act. I have no enmity with anyone, then why should anybody kill my daughter,” said Bablu Das while talking to the newsmen.
Superintendent of police (city) Prabhat Kumar had rushed to the spot on Wednesday night and also this morning. He said that the investigation was on.
