Jamshedpur FC to face tough test against FC Pune City: Steve Coppell


    Anas Edathodika to be out of action for some time

    Jamshedpur, Dec. 7: Jamshedpur Football Club (JFC) Coach Steve Coppell on Saturday said that FC Pune City is a top side. It is fair to say that. ‘They arguably have the two best strikers in the league. Both Marcelinho and Emiliano Alfaro were great last year. They make a lethal combination. It will be a tough test for the home team but I hope it is a good game for everyone and is enjoyed by one and all, Coppell said at the pre-match press conference at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
    When asked about the surface at the JRD Stadium, the Englishman said, the groundsmen have worked hard to have a firm surface for the Sunday’s match and hope that players can run, dribble and pass the ball without threat.
    Replying to query about Sameehg Doutie, Steve Coppell informed that he had a personal issue and is still resolving it and might not be available for the match against the FC Pune City on Sunday.
    Coppell also confirmed that defender Anas Edathodika will be out of action for some time. His injury, which he sustained during Jamshedpur FC’s game against Kerala Blasters. “Anas is injured. He is not with us. He is undergoing specialist physiotherapy. As I said, he didn’t travel with the team last time because we don’t want him to travel and aggravate his injury,” he said.
