Jamshedpur Crime: Two criminals who attacked jeweler arrested

Jamshedpur: Police have arrested two criminals and sent them to judicial custody. Revealing the firing case on Ajay Kumar Verma, resident of Sankosai under Ulidih police station within 24 hours, the police informed that they recovered a country-made pistol, a scooty, a mobile phone and a helmet from both of them. The names of both the crime personnel who were caught by the police are said to be Anish Kumar Thapa alias Raja Thapa and Abhinandan Saw. Giving information, SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan said that Ajay Kumar Varma was visiting Raja’s house and had a relationship with his sister. Many times opposition was also raised by Raja Thapa, but Ajay Verma did not agree. As a result, on Thursday, he along with his partner carried out this incident.

Thirty two-year-old jeweler, Ajay, was injured as bike-borne criminals attacked him near his house at Janata Path under Ulidih police station area in Mango at about 9 pm on Thursday.

The victim who sustained injuries on his neck was rushed to Tata Main Hospital where his condition is stated to be serious.  He was standing near the house, when the bike-borne criminals attacked.

The police confirmed about the firing, resulting in serious injuries to the jewel and on Friday morning arrested Thappa. OC, Ulidih thana, Meghnath Mandal said the victim has claimed Thappa to have launched the attack for Rs 30,000 the accused had demanded as extortion money from the victim.
