Jamshedpur, July 13: Police arrested one Rohit Khan alias Sheikh Rohit on Wednesday in connection with the incident of alleged assault on the Bistupur residents, Tetri Bano and her daughter Parveen Begum, near Thanthani Valley of Patamada, a year ago.
The accused was sent to MGM Hospital where he was found to be Covid positive. He has been kept in the Corona ward. Police had earlier arrested one Mohammad Sahil to judicial custody in connection with the incident. They are searching for a third accused, Zahid, in the case.
According to the victims, the three accused had stopped them and assaulted them with a knife in Thanthani Valley on 10th August last year when the mother-daughter duo was on their way to Bistupur.
