Jamshedpur: Compensation for elephant attack victim

Jamshedpur, May 29: The person who died in the attack of a wild elephant on Sunday late evening between Kadamdiha and Kalsimog villages of Lodhasholi panchayat of Chakulia block has been identified.

 The name of the deceased is Madan Mahato (44). He is a resident of Kadamdiha village. According to the information, he was returning home from Kalsimog village. During this, he came under the grip of wild elephants. On Monday, his body was sent for postmortem from the Community Health Center.

Saraswati Mahato, sister-in-law of the deceased, was immediately given Rs 25,000 by MLA Sameer Kumar Mohanty from the forest department. The balance amount of compensation will be given after completion of the paperwork.
