Jamshedpur, April 20: Met office has predicted rainfall in and around the city tomorrow (Thursday) and the day after tomorrow, sources said.

Even as the Met department forecast rainy respite from scorching weather, the city here witnessed sporadic rains at some places on Wednesday. Some relief was felt due to the unexpected turn of weather. It was however limited to a few places.

Yesterday, a mercury level of 43.6 degree Celsius was recorded while Monday last had seen the mercury rise up to 43.2 degree Celsius. Tuesday turned out to be the hottest day of the season after 2017, said Met office sources.

Although the winds gave some relief to people staying outdoors, the scanty rain was not much of a help in tackling the restlessness caused by a mix of high temperature and humidity. IMD sources said the coming two days could see some weather changes for the better.
