Internship program for computer teachers organized by MIT USA and Lily Foundation India

Ghatshila, June 16: Lily Foundation of India and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of USA, joined hands to organize an internship programme for computer teachers from different schools in Ghatshila subdivision. Free advanced computer training was provided to the participating computer teachers.

MIT USA trainer Vittorio Colicciio informed that training was provided on Advanced Excel, power point presentations, HTML, and web designing courses during the weeklong training programme.  He said, “Computer teachers should be given advance training so that they, in turn, can provide updated and upgraded computer education to the children that would lead to enhanced computer capabilities of these students.”

Bipin Chowdhary of Lily Foundation said that the organization was dedicated towards the uplift of quality knowledge of teachers as well as those of students. Among the computer teachers who participated in the free week long internship programme included Alok Chhetri (Convent School), Vishal Anand (Sri-Sri Vidya Mandir, Kashida), Sweta Sahu (Sant Nandlal Smriti Vidya Mandir), Debraj Mukherjee (JC School), Salkhu Baskey (Binapani Gyanoday Model Public School) and Shailendra Jena (Upgraded Madhya Vidyalay, Dharmbahal).
