Jamshedpur, March 9: Women employees of TRF, members of TRF Ladies Association and teachers and students of Astitva (TRFs women empowerment centre) and Akshar (literacy school) joined hands to celebrate International Womens Day (March 8) and pledge their support to Make It Happen by reducing gender inequality and thus clearing the path for sustainable progress of the society and the country.
Mrs Shireen Dotivala, Principal, Baug-e-Jamshed, the chief guest on the occasion, spoke on the need to realize the potential of power within women folk and assured that once this is achieved women would bring about significant changes in the society and contribute to the economic growth of the country. Earlier, PK Tibdewal, Chief Operating Officer encouraged the women to think differently as this would pave the way for mindset change and lead to long term impact on the society.
During the programme, the women at TRF celebrated the achievements of women who have brought about deep impact by their will power.
They discussed the role of women in the Companys growth and the need to take up higher responsibilities in the organization. Several events were held during the day such as slogan competition, dance and presentation of short plays on themes related to women empowerment.
