Jamshedpur : JUSCO School South Park organized Healing Herbs Exhibition 2014 at the Green environs of the schools.
This exhibition was a part of International School Award Project by British Council .The festival started with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Mr. NareshAgarwal , a renowned Horticulture and Bonsai Expert of Jamshedpur.
The students displayed 75 herbs from different countries; India, Sri Lanka and China. The display also included a unique display of charts indicating the Scientific Names and uses of each herb. This exhibition was a great way of bringing out herbal diversity with even greater grandeur along with other international herbs.
The exhibition also show cased JSSP GREEN PHARMACY where various herbal medicines of India, Sri Lanka And China were displayed with their usage.
Guest of Honour Mrs. SrimontiSen described the exhibition as unique steps towards creating awareness about nature. Green tea at the GREEN TEA CORNER was tasted and appreciated by the guests.
Among the items on display, were medicinal plants and related products, Ayurveda drugs, local seeds and food items and ornamental plants. Brochures and other literature relating to medicinal plants were put up for the visitors.
School Principal Mrs. Shovna De described the exhibition as an initiative of bringing varied herbal plants together in unification.
