Intermittent rains to lash Jamshedpur city for next few days

Jamshedpur, July 13: Jamshedpur is witnessing intermittent rains for the last few days. According to Met department, this weather condition will continue in the city for another few days. Several other districts of Jharkhand will also continue to witness similar weather conditions, officials said.

The weather department has also sounded a yellow alert for Jamshedpur and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts. It has said that rains would be followed by thundering and lightning. An appeal has been made to people, especially farmers to abstain from going to their farms during rains.

East Singhbhum has received 307.2 mm rainfall between 1st July and 11th July this year. From 1st June onwards, the district has received 385.5 mm rain till date. Continuous rain has caused the temperature to decline fast and reach 29.4 degree centigrade.
