Indigo fighters, Prima challengers win Tata Motors �Cricket Utsav�

Jamshedpur, Nov. 28: Cricket Utsav for Men and Women, organized by Tata Motors Sports department, concluded on�Saturday, November 28 at Telco Cricket Ground.����

7 Teams in Men�s Category (4 from TML namely Prima Challengers, Indigo Fighters, Nano Warriors, Safari Royals and 3 teams from Associate companies namely Tata Hitachi Hurricane, TACO and TML Drivelines) and 5 Teams in women�s category (4 from TML namely Prima Challengers, Indigo Fighters, Nano Warriors, Safari Royals and 1 team from Associate companies namely TML Drivelines) participated in the tournament. League cum Knock-out matches were played between the teams in both the categories

In women�s category- final match was played between Safari Royals and Indigo Fighters. Safari Royals won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first�Indigo Fighters scored 76 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 10 overs. While chasing the target Safari Royals could only score 56 run for 7 wickets in 10 overs and thereby lost the Final.

Ms. Amrita P Ekka�of Safari Royals was adjudged as �Best Player� of the tournament in women�s category, she scored 51 runs in the series. In the men�s category-final match was played between Indigo Fighters and Prima Challengers. After winning the toss Prima Challengers batted first and scored 138/3 runs in 20 overs.

Indigo Fighters began their chase with poor start, losing 6 quick wickets with 49 runs on board. Seventh wicket partnership gave some resistance but they could not withstand the fierce bowling attack of Prima bowlers and lost the final match by 73 runs scoring only 65 all out. Mr. Rajeev Bhaduk�of Indigo Fighters was adjudged �Best Player� of the tournament in men�s category, he scored 158 runs in the series.

Ravi Singh, Head (Human Resource), Tata Motors was the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners. �Mr. Ajay Kumar, Dy. General Manager (Vehicle Factory) and Union Officials were present during the Prize distribution ceremony.
