Income Tax raids BJP leader Kale official premises and residences

Jamshedpur : The Income Tax (Investigation) wing on Friday conducted raids on official premises and residences of BJP leader and State BJP spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale.

The raids pertained to �tax evasion and unaccounted wealth�. Sources informed that the raids were conducted in 20 different locations comprising Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Kolkata, Gurgaon and New Delhi.

According to information, a team of Income Tax department led by Investigation Wing in-charge Ajay Kumar raided the premises at various locations comprising Sakchi and Circuit House. The team also conducted raids at Kale��s brother residence at Circuit House.

Sources informed that 20 teams of Income Tax (Investigation) sleuths comprising from Jharkhand and Bihar are conducting the raids in the office, business establishments of Kale, who is a close aid of former CM Arjun Munda.
�Yes some documents have been seized and we are busy verifying it.

The raids is continuing and may continue till tomorrow,� sources added. He however denied that such operation was being carried at New Delhi or Gurgaon.

When contacted, Kale confirmed that a team from Income Tax is visiting his places in city. �We are cooperating with the team. This is what can I say,� he noted.

Meanwhile a section of BJP leaders termed the raids against Kale as �vendetta politics� of the Congress Party to malign his image by misusing the Income Tax Department.

� Kale is known for targeting the Congress Party over public issues. From time and again he has raised voice against the policies of the Union Government and this is the only reason why he is being targeted,� said a district leader, who wished not to be quoted.
