Hill Top School observes World Yoga Day

Jamshedpur, June 21: Students of Hill Top School, Telco observed World Yoga Day on June 21. The event held at the assembly area of the school started with a prayer. The students of Class VII were introduced to the 12 different postures & benefits of Surya Namaskar.

Some of the postures introduced were: Pranamasana (Prayer pose), Hastauttanasana (Raised arms pose), Hasta Padasana (Hand to foot pose), Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian pose), Dandasana (Stick pose), Ashtanga Namaskara (Salute with eight parts or points), Bhujangasana (Cobra pose), Parvatasana (Mountain pose), Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian pose), Hasta Padasana (Hand to foot pose), Hastauttanasana (Raised arms pose) and Tadasana.

Aastha of Class VIII gave a speech on the origin and purpose of International Yoga Day. Class VII demonstrated the various postures of Rhythmic Yoga. 40 students from Class VII of Hill Top School also participated in a Yoga Camp organized by Shiksha Prasad Kendra, Telco.
