Havan, Jap for Lord Ganapati at Saastha Preethi celebrations

Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Havan for Lord Maha Ganapati was performed on Friday morning as part of the 67th Saastha Preethi celebrations at Dharam Saastha Mandir.

After installing Kalash for Sri Sooktha Puja, Jap was conducted, followed by havan and Tulsi Puja. After the puja, Poornahuti was given in the havan and Vasordhara puja was also performed while chanting hymns by the Ved Pandits who came from southern India.�

After all this, Abhishek was performed for Lord Ganapati, Lord Ayyappa and Lord Karthik from the installed kalash. � At the end of the Pujas, Maha Deeparadhana was performed to all the deities.

Thousands of devotees witnessed the pujas today who were distributed prasad by the Temple committee members and volunteers.

In the evening once again Maha Deeparadhana was performed followed by Namasankeertana (classical devotional music programme) was rendered by Saralaya sisters — Triveny and Kumari Kavita, who were accompanied by Satyanarayana Sharma in Violin and N Ravi in Mridangam. Hundreds of devotees and classical music lovers enjoyed the recital.
