Govind Vidyalaya students made aware of election process

Jamshedpur, July 24: In order to make the students aware about the election system of our country and power of casting vote, it is quintessential to sensitise them about the importance of participating in the electoral process.

In one of the recent efforts, Govind Vidyalaya organised a session were Sunil Kumar Circle Officer (C.O) of Chandil Block addressed the students of class IX to XII as a member of Election Commission.

In his speech he conveyed several points. He informed the students about the head quarter of Election Commission of India which is in New Delhi.
Discussed the difference between �selection� and �election�. Explained about 4 categories of forms � Form 6, Form 7, Form 8 and Form 8 A. Form 6 is for name enrollment in voters list as well as change in assembly area. Form 7 � Omission of name in case of death.

Form 8 � Correction of name. Form 8 A � Address correction in same assembly. Forms are available from BLO (Block Level Officer). Every year 25th January is celebrated as National Voter�s Day because Election Commission was established on the same day. He motivated the students by a quote �Labour never goes in vain�

At the end he requested the teachers to appreciate the back benchers.
