Govind Vidyalaya students get the feel of ‘another world’ at Cheshire Home

Jamshedpur, Jan 25: Std IX students of the English Department and Interact Club of Govind Vidyalaya took a trip to Cheshire Home and stepped into ‘another world’ where a differently abled mankind lived in harmony and got the feel of their normal counterparts through dedicated service of the Sisters of Daughters of Charity. It was an emotional trip to Sundernagar for the Govind Vidyalaya team, the experience of which will linger permanently through life, said one accompanying school teacher. Earlier the bus carrying the students was flagged off jointly by Principal JP Hota and Administrator Krishna Modak.

 Students entertained the Cheshire Home inmates with songs and dances and played various games that evoked wide grins and joy on their faces. The students and accompanying school teachers presented the Cheshire Home residents several gifts.

The Govind Vidyalaya team claimed that the trip had been an enriching experience attained through the reality of face-to-face encounter with a different world of mankind. The students were accompanied by Sneha Sharma and Iffat Rahman from English Department and the Activity In-charge of Interact Club Naushad Razia along with teachers Sanjeev Kumar and Gokulanand Mishra.
