Ranchi: Addressing NCC cadets during the �At Home� program at Raj Bhawan, Governor Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday said that it was a good sign that the youths were taking interest in creative and positive things. These students had returned after having participated in Republic Day program in New Delhi.
Congratulating the cadets, Murmu said that the nation is optimistic about youth force. Their character is formed through such activities. They are taught to maintain discipline and develop their character in schools.
The governor expressed happiness on their involvement in blood donation, youth literacy, plantation, environmental conservation, disaster management and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and said that their contribution in these areas is remarkable. She wished them all the best in their lives and appealed them to present a precedent with their performance.
Murmu also felicitated NSS cadets and other students who participated in the Republic Day program in New Delhi.
Delivering welcome speech, Additional DG, Bihar and Jharkhand Directorate Major General Sami Sabbarwal focused on the activities of NCC.
