Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Menka Sardar distributed pump sets among the officials and members of Pani Panchayat in Madansai village of Sangram panchayat under Potka block on Thursday. She inaugurated the process of pump set distribution among the Pani Panchayat president, secretary and other members. She said a total of 300 pump sets would be distributed among the said persons on a 90 per cent grant basis.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, the MLA said Jharkhand government was doing every bit to empower the farmers of the state. He said the government was making adequate arrangements to provide water to every farm in the state to help the farmers carry out various agricultural activities. He said the government was giving pump sets, fertilizers and other necessary items to ensure bumper production.
Among those who got the pump sets today included Chitrasen Puran, Navdeep Thaiyal, Hemant Dev, Kalarath Thaiyal and Sanjay Kumar Puran. Many local BJP members were also present during the pump set distribution programme. They included Ashutosh Das, Santosh Bhanj, Sanat Kumar C, Devendra Dev, Manmath Dev and Hargovind Dev.
