Gangrape accused nabbed from Jamshedpur after 28 days

Seraikela, Feb 8: Seraikela police managed to arrest two youths involved in the gangrape of a girl at Pindrabera forest under Kandra thana, after 28 days of the incident, with help of Jamshedpur police from the Parsudih area. 

Budhe Kalindi and Dinesh Behera both resident of Parsudih in East Singhbhum district had raped a girl riding a bike by dragging her to Pindrabera forest and raping her and then escaped with a bike without number place posing a challenge for Seraikela police in detecting them.

Police was finding difficult in detecting them as they had left no evidence at the spot of the crime and nobody in the area could identify the accused on the basis of the sketches drawn by the Seraikela police with help of the victim girl. Police then took help of panchayat representatives, ward members, mukhiya and finally managed to trace the location of the two accused. 

Police have recovered the bike without number plate used in the crime and the number plate and also two mobile phones from the youth. 

According to Seraikela SP Mohammed Arshi, soon after police made public their sketches the accused had changed their appearance and dress too. However with support of panchayat elected representatives and Jamshedpur police they managed to nab the accused who have also confessed about their crime.
