Ganga bridge will prove a milestone link with the north east states: CM

Ranchi, March 24: Addressing journalists in Sahibganj, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Ganga Bridge will prove to be a milestone from linking point of view with the north east.

He said that it will connect middle India and Jharkhand with north-east states and Myanmar. Hon�ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation stone for bridge and harbor on 6th April, 2017. He said that hon�ble Prime Minister will give smart phones to 1 lakh women of sakhi mandals. 2 Paharia battalions have been formed and the Prime Minister will give appointment letters to women Paharia battalions.

He also reviewed the preparation of foundation stone laying program with senior officers at Circuit House, Sahibganj. He appealed to the people to reach there in great number and celebrate it.

Greeting the people, MP, MLA of the area, the CM said that it is a present to them from hon�ble Prime Minister. He directed the officers to make proper arrangements for the people including drinking water.

LED screens should be installed at the program venue and signage should be installed on all main routes and crossroads. He said that hon�ble Prime Minister�s visit shows the commitment of his government for development.

Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma intimated the CM about various preparations in context of hon�ble Prime Minister�s visit. She held a separate meeting and reviewed all the program of hon�ble Prime Minister (from arrival to departure) point wise.

She directed the DC and SP to make check sleep of their work and review its development point wise and directed all concerned officers to complete the jobs assigned to them in the next 2-3 days.

Ministers Dr. Louis Marandi, Randhir Singh, Raj Paliwar, MLAs Anant Ojha, Tala Marandi, CS Raj Bala Verma, DGP D. K. Pandey, Addl. CS Amit Khare, Addl. CS R.K. Srivastava, Principal Sec to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Home Principal Sec S.K. G. Rahate, Road Construction Sec M. R. Meena, ADG. Anurag Gupta, Santhal Pargana Commissioner Dinesh Ch. Mishra, DIG Akhilesh Kr. Jha, DC, SP and other officers were present on this occasion.
