Four pairs of trains via Tatanagar cancelled till June 11

Jamshedpur: Due to the second wave of Covid 19, many trains are not getting sufficient number of passengers. In such a situation, there is a loss to the railways in running these trains. For this reason, the South-Eastern Railway has canceled trains for four pairs of Rajdhani special trains running on Tatanagar, Bangarposi, Adra and Rourkela routes till the 11th of June.

Till now the South-Eastern Railway had canceled Rajdhani Special trains till 29th and 30th May but due to lack of sufficient number of passengers, the Railway Board is incurring losses in running these trains. On an average, only two to five passengers are traveling in each bogie.

In addition, the Railways have prohibited the operation of 14 pairs of passenger trains. Not only this, the operation of up and down trains of Badbil-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Special, Tata-Howrah Steel Express, Tata-Badbil Passenger is also banned.
