Founder President of Jamshedpur Chamber passes away


Jamshedpur: Mohanlal Agarwal, the founding president of the Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce and the vice-president of the Federation Chamber of Commerce, Jharkhand, died at a hospital in Ranchi on Saturday. 
He was under treatment for about 21 days after being infected with Corona. His lung infection had increased significantly. The news of his demise has spread a wave of mourning among the traders of the city. Mohanlal got infected with Corona 21 days ago.

He stayed at home isolation for sometime. On May 6, his health worsened when he developed lung infection. He was then admitted at the Plus Super Specialist Hospital in Ranchi for better treatment where his condition remained normal. But he died of a heart attack on Saturday.

He leaves behind a full family of grandchildren, including wife, son-daughter-in-law and a married daughter. On Saturday itself, according to Covid standards, he was cremated at Sakchi Swarnarekha Ghat. Presently, he was the Chief Patron of the Jamshedpur Chamber. He had also agitated on the road for many problems of traders, in which some were also successful. His activism will always be on hold especially with the business world of Jamshedpur. Mohanlal was also an advocate of solidarity of business organizations.
Mohan Lal Agarwal, a resident of Jugsalai, represented the traders for a long time. He also formed the Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce to represent the small businesses operating in the city and led him as chairman for over 20 years. Mohan Lal took to the road in various agitations and also agitated for the demands of the traders.
