Former jawans appeal people to boycott Chinese products

Jamshedpur: Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad today took out an awareness march and an oath ceremony to condemn terrorism and ensure boycott of goods manufactured by China. The programme started at Sakchi roundabout.

In his address, the outfit general secretary Varun Kumar said the people of the state and other parts of the country should totally boycott Chinese goods this Deepawali and Chhath. Chinese products should be boycotted by one and all on all days in a year, he added.

Kumar said the Chinese government was brazenly refusing to support India in its fight against terrorism sponsored by Pakistan.

In the light of the hostile activities of China, Indian people have a duty not to purchase Chinese goods.

The former Indian Army soldiers appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving the Make In India call.

They said the people should buy earthen lamps (diyas) from traditional potters instead of getting the same from the shops selling Chinese products.

The awareness march moved through the Sakchi roundabout and the main streets to return at the same place through Shahid Chowk at Sakchi Market.

The ex-Army personnel also decided to organize Ek Diya Shaheedon Ke Naam in the city to pay tributes to the martyred Indian jawans.

Among those present during the march included Sukhvinder Singh, Chandrama Singh, Vivek Kumar, Siddhnath Singh, Rajdev Singh, Ajay Singh, Ashok Srivastava, Avdhesh Kumar, Jitendra, Shatrughan Prasad, Arvind Singh, Rajeev, Ramayan Katyayan, Ankit and Abhay Singh.
