Jamshedpur, March 12: Bistupur police have registered a case of cheating worth Rs 5.8 crore against Kadma-based builder Budhdev Giri on the complaint of Pravir P Patel, proprietor of Steel City Nursing Home. As per the complaint, the accused reportedly took Rs 5.8 crore from Patel in lieu of giving him a flat at Circuit House Area on behalf of SAB Construction Company. But later, the accused refused to give possession of the flat to Patel. When Patel went to the flat for some renovation work, he was allegedly assaulted and threatened with arms. The accused also allegedly demanded Rs 60 lakh from Patel, police said.
