Gamharia, March 4: Excise department teams carried out raids at various liquor dens and illegal distilleries across Seraikela-Kharsawan on Saturday. They were led by Excise Inspector Nirbhay Singh. The raids were conducted in Sapra, Bhadrakali, Bondih, Satvahini and other areas. The distilleries were demolished and raw material used in the manufacturing of hooch was seized. Adityapur police assisted the Excise team throughout the raids. Police arrested one Anand Kalindi from Satvahini and seized 1200 kg mahua and 65 litres of liquor. Sinha said the raids would continue.
