DC Amit Kumar asks agencies to expedite electrification work
Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato on Wednesday said the state government had plans to supply electricity to each and every household in the state. He said the state of Jharkhand was still lagging behind in terms of power supply to households. He said the district administration should speed up work of electrification. He was speaking at a meeting organized to review electrification work in East Singhbhum.
Mahato said the electrification work in the district was being carried out by four agencies. These agencies have been asked to conduct a survey of their respective areas of operation. The survey is expected to get over by the end of September. Thereafter, the electrification work will speed up, the MP said.
Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar asked the representatives of the agencies to complete their work sincerely. He said the agencies should make sure every household gets electricity. The agencies said so far 107 villages had been electrified.
Also present at the meeting, the MLA of Ghatsila Laxman Tudu said there was communication gap between the agencies and the administration officials. He said the work being done by the agencies should be visible.
