Chaibasa, Oct 3: Police have arrested the accused in the murder case of four people on Friday in village Kendposi Tola Muiklor under Hatgamharia police station in West Singhbhum district. The charge of murder has been levelled against the elder son of Onmo Khandait, one of the deceased who was killed.
The police had taken the accused Martom Khadait, his wife and other suspects into custody for questioning. The accused Martom, while confessing the crime, has told the police that he, along with his friend, carried out this incident over a family dispute.
The deceased included Onmo Khandait (50), his wife Mani Khandait (48), son Gobra Khandait (22) and grandson Basudev Khandait (4). The deceased had gone to attend a party which went on till 10 pm at the house of Ram Sinku, the uncle of the relative living in the neighborhood.. The crime was carried out while they were returning home from the party.
