E-waste awareness drive in Madho Singh School


Jamshedpur, Sep 24: India is a developing nation but it is the 5th biggest producer of e-waste in the world. With growing technological advancements and ever-increasing dependency on them, the problem of e-waste management has also reached a crucially high stage. Keeping this in mind Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur as part of its Earth Care Project launched an awareness campaign on e-waste in Sardar Madho Singh Memorial Girls School.

Keynote speaker for the event was Ishwar Rao from Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO), explained the importance of e-waste management and also informed about correct disposal of electrical and electronic equipment.

President of the club Vinita Shah and outgoing president Navita Prasad along with school Principal Sarita Kumari and former club president Dr. Manju Rani Singh supported in making the event successful.

Rekha Jaiswal, Indu Bhamri, school teachers also took part in the awareness campaign. At the event saplings were also provided to school management.
